The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has the responsibility to manage, protect and conserve California's natural resources. This enormous mission is supported by many committed and steady volunteers of the Natural Resource Volunteer Program (NRVP) who work alongside wardens and other staff to perform a wide variety of jobs. These volunteers are the eyes and ears of the Department representing the Department and helping to ensure our natural resources are being guarded at the highest level. The NRVP makes every effort to match assignments to the volunteer's individual skills and interests. Many volunteers regard the NRVP as one of the best places to volunteer.
